THE SUBTLE KNIFE by Philip Pullman

I love books on CD. It makes reading such a breeze. I read this book because I have to know what happens to Lyra. This is the 2nd of a 3 book series. The only reason I'm reading it is to finish the story. There is way too much religious stuff in this book series for me. This one introduces a new character- Will who is connected to Lyra's mission. Will gets a knife that can cut into different worlds. Meanwhile there is a war brewing. Something like the war in heaven...supposedly Lyra is Eve. Whatever... Again I would not recommend this book just reading it because I'm curious to know how it ends

I have the first 2 Twilight books. you can just borrow mine. Don't get too excited, you may be left disappointed. I, personally, am not a fan to the extent of all the other crazies out there. Don't get me wrong, I understand all the excitement.. I mean the first one was entertaining, but I've had a hard time getting through the second. My best friend, who is an avid reader, basically feels like the author (a BYU grad) pretty much went as far as she could with detailed descriptions of sexual tension that it's almost borderline inappropriate. I wouldn't consider it mental porno or anything, but it definitely paints an unrealistic picture of love for all those tween girls out there. Then gain, maybe I'm just an old spinster, getting more bitter by the hour? who knows..LOL..But even with that being said, i still plan to read them all
